Straight-run pipe installation
Install the Pipe Freeze Protection Cable
Run the heating cable lengthwise along the pipe. Never spiral, cross, or overlap the heating cable.
Core ruleThe heating cable must remain flat against the pipe and must not touch or cross itself.
- Select the correct length. Measure the pipe and choose a cable that closely matches the area needing protection.
- Clean the pipe. Remove dirt, grease, and sharp edges so the cable can sit flat against the surface.
- Apply the cable straight. Run it lengthwise along the pipe—do not spiral or overlap the cable.
- Secure every 30 cm. Use approved installation tape to hold the cable firmly in place.
- Connect to protected power. Plug the cable into a grounded, GFCI-protected 120V outlet.
